Strong storms linger in parts of Orleans, and Jefferson Parishes which prompted the National Weather Service to issue a flash flood warning until 2:15 p.m. today.

As of 12:00 p.m. Flash Flood Warning for:
- West Central Orleans Parish in southeastern Louisiana.
- West Central St. Bernard Parish in southeastern Louisiana.
- Until 1215 PM CDT.
- At 911 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
Because of the increased risk of street flooding, the city of New Orleans is allowing residents to park their vehicles on the neutral ground in an effort to keep vehicles on higher ground.
