Flash Flood Warning issued for numerous parishes across greater NOLA region

North Central Jefferson Parish, Orleans Parish, Northwestern Plaquemines Parish, West Central St. Bernard Parish, and St. Tammany Parishes.
In Orleans Parish, NOLA Ready advises that heavy rain could cause street flooding and has also approved neutral zone parking until 8am Friday morning.
Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
These flood warnings are in effect until the five o'clock hour.
