With heavy rains triggering a flash flood warning for Orleans Parish, New Orleans city officials are allowing residents to move their cars to higher ground if they need to do so.
According to NOLAReady, neutral ground parking is in effect until 6 p.m. Thursday. Heavy rains are expected to result in street flooding in low-lying areas.
A flash flood warning is in effect for Orleans, Jefferson, and St. Charles Parishes until 1:38 p.m. Thursday.
