Floats in the Oaks, the static display of Mardi Gras’ whimsical creations and displays usually pulled through the streets of New Orleans is sold out.

The event, which has been talked about for weeks, if not months, sold out completely Friday Afternoon just a day after opening the public.

Floats in the Oaks features floats and displays from all of the regions krewes who usually participate in elaborate parades, parties, and balls through the Mardi Gras season.

With everything sidelined due to the pandemic, Floats in the Oaks was a way to carry on the celebration while maintaining social distancing.

A drive through floats experience where instead of the parade passing by, drivers can motor by the famous floats they are accustomed to seeing the celebration routes.
