A former Orleans Parish prosecutor has been arrested and booked on domestic violence charges, The Times-Picayune | New Orleans Advocate reports.
According to the police report, Joseph Zanetti's girlfriend claims he pointed a loaded handgun at her head during an argument Sunday.
Zanetti resigned from the Orleans District Attorney's Office last year, and in July, left a job in the Louisiana Attorney General's Officer.
NOLA.com reports the Orleans D.A.'s office has asked to be recused from prosecuting Zanetti.
