“As I stated after Applewhite’s arrest in June, this is a complex case of manipulation involving several females.”
That is what Washington Parish Sheriff Randy "Country" Seal said about 36-year-old Brandon Applewhite, a former Bogalusa firefighter after his third arrest while under investigation for alleged sex crimes.
“I am so pleased with the continued investigation by our detective division in cooperation with the Bogalusa Police Department. If anyone has additional information about this ongoing matter, please contact Captain Anderson.”
Applewhite was arrested on Tuesday of last week, and booked with another charge of second-degree rape says, Sheriff Seal.
“His [Applewhite] first arrest occurred in May 2021 when he was charged with non-consensual disclosure of a private picture, extortion, and malfeasance. In June 2021 he was arrested again on a charge of second-degree rape,” according to a Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office report detailing Applewhite’s third arrest.
Sheriff Seal says Applewhite was arrested on September 7, and released two days later after posting a $75,000 bond.
