Anyone who has covered the New Orleans Saints in the last decade knows Mark Ingram can talk.
The former Heisman winner at Alabama was wildly entertaining both on the field and off during his two stints with the Saints, who drafted him in the first round in 2012.
Now, the team’s all-time leading rusher will be talking for a living as the newest member of the football coverage team at FOX Sports.
Ingram will replace another former Saint, Reggie Bush, on the network’s Big Noon Kickoff show.
“I’m thrilled to join FOX Sports and BIG NOON KICKOFF,” Ingram said in a press release. “I can’t wait to feel the energy and excitement every Saturday, alongside some of the most talented and entertaining names in our sport, at the biggest games in college football – I’m ready for the Fall.”
In that same news release, Ingram got a ringing endorsement from his new boss.
“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Heisman Trophy-winner and BCS National Champion Mark Ingram to the FOX Sports family,” FOX Sports President of Production and Operations, Executive Producer Brad Zager wrote. “Mark’s infectious personality, outstanding playing credentials and above all passion for the game is what makes him such an invaluable asset to our team. With him on board, BIG NOON KICKOFF will continue to provide viewers with unparalleled analysis and commentary each and every Saturday.”
Ingram will be seen on Saturday mornings at 9 a.m. alongside fellow analysts Matt Leinart, Urban Meyer and Brady Quinn, as well as host Rob Stone.
