Update: The latest NOPD report shows 6 people were shot, and one killed.
Another four victims were shot, this time near the intersection of Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. and South Robertson Street.
NOPD Public Information Officer Paris Holmes stated in an email at around 8:15 p.m., four victims suffering with a gunshot wound(s) arrive at the hospital by private conveyance.
The condition of the four is unknown at this time.
The latest shooting comes just a day after gunfire rang out at the intersection of Annunciation and General Taylor Streets in Uptown.
Four people were also shot in that incident.
Two of the four victims succumb to their wounds at a local hospital.
