As 'Free Palestine' protesters shut down major US travel arteries, Newell wonders 'why are we coddling these fools?'

Traffic was backed up for a dozen miles when 'Free Palestine' protesters took over the Golden Gate Bridge for five or six hours, and WWL's Newell Normand wondered how it was allowed to occur.

"How long does it take to back up a skid truck on the Golden Gate Bridge ... and yank these vehicles off the bridge, like lickety split," Normand said. "Why are we coddling these fools?"

He wondered why so many protests of this kind have been allowed to shut down major arteries in U.S. transportation -- after similar protests in Chicago and New York. "If you give them an inch, they're going to take a foot ... and here we are," Normand said. "This is going to happen again."

He added the protesters should be tossed in paddy wagons and charged so they know the U.S. is "not going to tolerate this culture of non-compliance."
