The suspect in the Valentine's Day shooting of three women in the French Quarter is now in custody after authorities arrested him in Georgia.
Clayton County, Georgia, police arrested Michael Bates-Browder in early April. On Thursday, law enforcement extradited Bates-Browder to New Orleans so he could face attempted second-degree murder, aggravated second-degree battery, and other charges.
Bates-Browder is accused of pulling a gun and firing several shots after a group of women got into a fight near the corner of Royal and Canal Streets. The victims were all taken to and treated in a New Orleans hospital.
Bates-Browder remains in the Orleans Parish Prison on $675,000 bond.
