Early voters brought their patience with them as they stood for hours in line to cast their vote in Orleans and Jefferson Parish.
For one woman, this was her third attempt to cast her vote before the lines became
"I came here twice and the line was extremely long so I couldn't stay. Friends of mine stayed for at least four hours, but you have to do… what you have to do. It is our right, we have to vote," she said.
A few voters said they feel Jefferson Parish should have used a bigger venue that could handle the crowds and long lines.
"I just think the Parish should have something at the Alario Center…you know…where they can accommodate a bigger crowd," one man said after he said he spent two and a half hours in line to cast his vote.
