A Galliano man is in jail and facing charges connected to a shooting that happened Saturday night.

According to Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre, Jhy Dupre fired several shots at a home on East 120th Street. Webre says Dupre is a relative of the victims. Webre adds that Dupre knocked on the door of the home when he arrived. One of the residents opened the door and saw Dupre’s gun before immediately closing the door. According to Webre, Dupre then began shouting threats before firing the shots.

Deputies say they found bullet casings in the driveway as well as bullet holes on the house and on a car. Three people were inside the house when the shooting happened, but none of them were injured.

Deputies arrested Dupre overnight Monday on aggravated assault and aggravated criminal damage to property charges. He's being held on $700,000 bond.
