I love this country.
As we celebrate our nation's Independence Day, I recognize our flaws as a country. They are very real. Still, the United States of America remains the best country on the planet, bar none! As I see it, we might not collectively agree on the direction we want to go as a nation, but we all agree FREEDOM is our biggest American right.
When I think about the nation's founding fathers, I think of incredibly brave and smart men. The beauty of this country is endless. As Americans, if we don't like how something impacts us, we can express ourselves freely without the fear of government crackdown. We can say what we want. Do (within the laws) what we want. As Americans we can own property. Some countries still forbid this basic democratic principle. Hard to imagine in 2022.

We as Americans can also disagree with each other. People fought and died for these rights. We suppressed tyranny around the world. This country is the beacon of hope and opportunity. If the USA is so bad, why are others from around the world trying to become citizens of our great nation? The answer is simple: For all of our problems, we still have the best country around the globe.
In a day and age where it's cool for some to hate this country. I would argue that is their right, but I don't agree with that opinion. I choose to cherish our American ideals and beliefs. I love my country! I'm sure a lot of you do as well. Keep the faith in this wonderful land that we call home. Happy Birthday America!
As many of you know, I'm a Marine. Serving my country is the greatest honor of my life. As a country we've navigated a civil war, two world wars, segregation, pandemics and countless other challenges. We overcame those tragic events because we are Americans. We are tough, righteous, strong and brilliant as a nation -- the best that exists. To my fellow Americans, I love you, and would serve again to defend you. God Bless the USA.
