The average price of a gallon of regular gas in Louisiana has jumped six cents in the past week.
AAA's Don Redman says the hurricanes hitting Florida get the blame.

"We were on a downward trend before the storms hit and drove prices back up”, Redman points out.
He says the drops in the price at the pump we saw over the past month have been wiped out by the back to back storms.
Redman, however, expects the price hikes to be short-lived.
"They had to shut down operation in the Gulf," he notes.
Once everything is caught up on the production and distribution side, Redman expects prices to start retreating.
