Lengthy waits ahead for air travelers today and tomorrow. This according to leaders of Armstrong International Airport. They speculate wait times of up to three hours with the number of TSA agents scheduled to be available.
This comes after house republicans rejected a senate deal calling it a "joke" as it excluded funding for immigration agencies. The House is set to present a bill to the Senate that includes funding for ICE and would fund the Department of Homeland Security for the next sixty days.
With the Senate entering a two week break, that means a deal is unlikely to be reached in time to get funds flowing and staff back at airport gates.
As the shutdown enters its seventh week, it marks this being the longest of any shutdown to date.
