Two good Samaritans rush to help a woman being raped by a man as she walked down a busy Terrytown street according to The Times Picayune | New Orleans Advocate.
It happened in the afternoon on October 15, in the 1600 block of Carol Sue. The sheriff’s office says the victim, a 60-year-old woman, passed 28-year-old Celius Gray while walking down the street. That is when they say, he allegedly lift up the woman’s skirt, pushed her to the ground and began raping her in public.
Two people passing by saw the rape happening and rushed over to pull the man off the woman. That is when the man ran off as deputies arrived and after a brief chase, deputies caught Gray.
Gray is booked with first-degree rape and resisting arrest. He is held on a $500,000 bond.
