High temperatures through Saturday are going to be in the 70s are parades roll on after the other.
"Another nice day for Thursday with mostly cloudy skies and some sun. Temperatures will be mild around parade-time in the 60s. Friday will be warmer and more humid with temps in the mid 70s," WWL TV Meteorologist Payton Malone forecasts. "Saturday will warm in to the mid to upper 70s with higher humidity. A few showers are possible."
He expects just a few showers now and then on Saturday.
"Sunday's chance for rain is higher, but it looks like a bulk of the heaviest rain could stay to our north during the daytime. However, once we get into Sunday evening and early Monday some heavier rain begins to move in."
Malone forecasts a few strong storms possible Sunday and into Monday.
"Right now, it looks like the flooding issues will stay to our north this weekend. Changes are still possible in this forecast, so make sure to check back daily."
He says Sunday's rain is associated with a cold front.
"By Monday morning the cold front arrives and pushes the rain out and brings cold air back. It'll be a chilly Mardi Gras with morning temperatures in the 40s and wind chills in the 30s. Mardi Gras afternoon will be in the 50s, but with some sun!"
