The city of Kenner has a new specialist on staff to help with increasing wildlife concerns.
"Due to growing concerns regarding wildlife throughout Kenner, the City has deployed a wildlife mitigation specialist who will begin immediately to address this growing issue," Kenner announced this week.
"You may see a presence of this team in Kenner during the next month."
Kenner has hired trapper John Schmidt.
It comes amid increasing reports of wild hogs and boars in neighborhoods near the lakefront and complaints of coyote populations booming.
