A man is dead as result of a traffic accident in St. John Parish.
The crash occurred on LA 3127 just to the east of LA 3213 just after noon on Thursday.
Louisiana State Patrol reports 41-year-old Ray Francois of Boutte was travelling west on LA 3127 when he tried to make a left turn.
Driving Francois was a dump truck.
The driver of the dump truck attempted to avoid a collision by swerving to the left but struck the Chevrolet Cruze driven by Francois.
Francois was not restrained at the time of the crash and suffered fatal injuries.
The driver of the dump truck was properly restrained and was uninjured.
According to troopers, the crash remains under investigation.
