Beaver nuggets and brisket sandwiches, now on your way to the Gulf coast! A Buc-ee's travel stop opens Monday morning in Harrison County, Mississippi, north of Pass Christian.
Bill Lavers, executive director of the Harrison County Development Commission, says it is huge.
"It's 74,000 square feet. I can't remember if it's 120 restrooms and 160 gas pumps or the reverse of what I just said," said Lavers.
Either way, it has a lot of places for travelers to either gas up or go.
Lavers says they even demolished an overpass to build a new one that could better handle the traffic.
"We had a two-lane overpass at that interchange, and their request of us was, knowing what was coming and the traffic volumes they develop, they wanted to have a five-lane bridge," he said. "So, we're like, okay."
The Buc-ee's is at the Menge Ave. exit off I-10 (Exit 24).
