The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a homicide that took place in the Plum Orchard neighborhood of New Orleans East.
A report on the homicide is as follows:
Around 6:27 p.m., Seventh District officers responded to the 8300 block of Grant Street near the intersection with Laine Avenue.
Upon arrival, they discovered an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim died at the scene.
Investigators are in the process of gathering information that will help them identify a person(s) responsible for this incident, as well as a motive.
