New Orleans Police are investigating a case of Aggravated Battery by shooting.
The incident took place at the intersection of Calliope Street and Convention Center Blvd. just after 6pm Friday night.
Initial reports show a female victim sustained a gunshot wound to her body.
EMS transported the victim to a local hospital to be treated for her injuries.
No other details about the crime have been released.
It is not known if the suspect in the crime has been arrested.
