Welcome to the first day of fall! It officially starts at 2:21 pm. We also get our first decent cold front of the season. It has moved through the area this morning. You'll notice north winds increase through the day, but the cooler air is lagging behind by a bit. We'll warm up to near 80 degrees Wednesday afternoon, but it will be dry with lower humidity. Clouds will also decrease through the day.
Tonight will be cooler with 50s away from the lake. In the New Orleans area we'll drop into the low to mid 60s.
Thursday and Friday will be similar with sunshine and highs in the upper 70s. The nice weather continues into the weekend, but it'll be warmer in the low to mid 80s. We stay dry through Monday.
