A Hammond man is dead after a crash on Interstate 55.
According to state troopers, that crash happened around 9:45 p.m. Saturday near the U. S. 51 interchange in Tangipahoa Parish.
Troopers say Brandon Whittington, 30, was driving southbound when his car ran off the road and into a ditch before it hit a tree.
Whittington died at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
