2:09 AM CDT Thu Sep 2 2021

...HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM THIS MORNING TO 5 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...

While every part of the New Orleans area is without power, air conditioning, exhaustion from Ida cleanup, and heat illnesses may be more common.

WWLTV’s Meteorologist Payton Malone says, “Scattered showers and storms today with some isolated downpours. High temperatures today are in the upper 80s to near 90. Expecting much of the same Thursday, before an upper high begins to build into the area. The upper high will suppress rain chances by Friday, the weekend, and even into early next week, as well as bring some slightly less humid air into the area.”
