WWLTVs Meteorologist Payton Malone says, “We'll see one more day of our "normal" August weather with highs in the low to mid 90s and scattered afternoon showers and storms. As a ridge of high pressure builds in from the west, rain chances will begin to diminish Friday and possibly through next week as afternoon highs climb into the mid to upper 90s with heat indices above 110°.”
