On Thursday, eligible residents in Jefferson Parish will be able to get the Johnson and Johnson vaccine.
The Louisiana Department of Health and Jefferson Parish and Passport Health will open a drive-thru vaccination site at the Alario Center in Westwego on Thursday, March 4.
Appointments are required and are only available to residents meeting the current LDH phase criteria, which includes people 65 years or older, healthcare workers, teachers, first-responders, and individuals 55-64 with one or more health conditions defined by the CDC.

The call center and online registration portal open for reservations on Wednesday and will remain open until all vaccine appointments are filled.
