It’s a start to what looks like a nice Thursday, but by this afternoon heavy storms are expected get going and last right into the evening.
Rain will be locally heavy at times.
The heaviest of the storms could dump 2-4 inches of rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms.
The higher chance for storms will fall in the New Orleans and Northshore areas.
Friday is another warm and humid day with pop up storms expected into the afternoon.
The weekend backs off the stormy weather a bit, with just a 20-30% chance of storms on Saturday and Sunday.
Temps will be hotter as we push into the weekend and set the mercury rise to 90 degrees.
The coming week starts hot and humid with a few storms possible.
