Brian Joseph Palmer successfully fended off four home invasion suspects back on December 20, 2020.
He sent two to the morgue.
The two surviving are facing murder charges related to the deaths of their comrades and the crime they were involved in now.
But now, the St. Tammany Sheriff’s Office has placed Palmer under arrest after drugs were discovered inside his home.
Palmer has been charged with numerous possession counts after marijuana, cannabinol, codeine, and promethazine were found.
He also is facing charges related to possession of illegal weapons, and cash from suspected drug deals.
Adding insult to injury, he was also charged with possession a controlled dangerous substance in the person of a juvenile under 17.
On February 17, 2021, Palmer was taken into custody at the Slidell Law Enforcement Complex and marijuana was located inside his vehicle.
On the same day, STPSO Narcotics detectives conducted a second search of his residence.
This time, detectives located and seized approximately 8.37 pounds of marijuana with an estimated street value of $37,000, unlawfully possessed Alprazolam tablets; six pints of unlawfully possessed Promethazine with Codeine; drug paraphernalia; six firearms; three counterfeit $20 bills; and $24,431 in cash believed to be proceeds from drug offenses.
