
The COVID-19 vaccination site at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center will begin vaccinating eligible people on Thursday, March 4.
On Wednesday, the Convention Center hosted a soft open; vaccinating about 700 people on LCMC and New Orleans Health Department’s waitlist.
People in the current phased eligibility group who are looking to book an appointment can call 504-290-5200 or online at LCMCHealth.org/vaccine.

Registration opened at 5 a.m. on Wednesday. Days and hours of operation are subject to vaccine availability. The Call Center will be available seven days a week to answer questions, register for an appointment, or be added to a vaccination waitlist. Phone lines open at 7 a.m.
The New Orleans Regional Transit Authority (RTA) will be providing free shuttle service to the Convention Center Hall J starting Thursday. Shuttles will depart every 15 minutes from Duncan Plaza, every 45 minutes from the West Bank RTA Park and Ride, and every 45 minutes from the New Orleans East Walmart. Residents interested in utilizing the shuttle must pay their regular fare to the designated pickup points. Both the outgoing and return shuttle service are free of charge. All RTA shuttle buses will be marked as “Special/Convention Center.”
