A crash on I-10 West near at the Highrise Bridge has left one man dead.
The single-car crash happened around 4:00 this morning. According to New Orleans Police Department investigators, the driver was thrown from the car and died at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
That crash forced the NOPD to close I-10 West at the Chef Menteur Highway exit for more than two hours. Police have since reopened the interstate.
