New Orleans Police are shutting down I-10 coming from New Orleans East toward downtown.
“Beginning at 11:00 a.m. today, Interstate 10 WESTBOUND will be closed at the Interstate 610 split heading toward downtown,” according to a news release.
Cops say they are investigating a deadly crash from this past weekend and need to shut down traffic.
“Drivers seeking to continue on I-10 West can take I-610 to Elysian Fields Avenue and re-enter I-10 at that location.”
The closure is expected to last approximately one hour.
