Election Day is today and voters are turning out to cast their vote.
WWL First News talked with a few voters waiting in line at one polling location in Jefferson Parish who say the wait time has not been that bad.
“I mean it…it is moving. I figure maybe about an hour I’ll get in so it’s about an hour wait,” said one man.

“It’s a little longer but it is not as bad as I thought, listening to the radio today and some of the other states and what-not… people been waiting two hours,” said another man as he and his wife stood in line along the sidewalk of the Terrytown Volunteer Fire Station #51 on Heritage Avenue.
“We got out here about 8:45…8:50… its moving,” said this woman as she stood in line with her son who is a first-time voter. “Everything is going smooth so far and I early voted, I went to the Yenni Building it took me 20 minutes so Jefferson Parish has it under control, I haven’t had any problems.”
Voters have until 8:00 p.m. tonight to cast their vote before the polls close.
