The new music festival is planning to bring country music to seven small towns across America this spring, and Gonzales, La., has been picked as one of the lucky seven.
“We are excited that Gonzales was chosen as one of the seven small towns for this inaugural festival. The impact that this event will have on our parish will be tremendous,” said Ascension Parish President Clint Cointment in a release.
The Gonzales edition of the tour will be headlined by Jason Aldean and Kid Rock.
Hank Williams Jr., Koe Wetzel, Travis Tritt, Big & Rich, Gretchen Wilson, Uncle Kracker, Elvie Shane, Kolby Cooper, Gavin Adcock, and Sadie Bass are also on the bill.
Gonzales will actually be the very first top on the tour, which will take over the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center on April 5 and 6 of 2024. It will be the tour’s only Louisiana date, but it will wind its way through six other southern states.
Aldean and Kid Rock will appear at all seven dates, but the supporting lineups for each show may vary.
Tickets will go on sale Friday, November 17, with 30,000 tickets available for each day of the festival. For more information, visit the Rock the Country website.
