Hotels were packed, restaurants were busy, and people came out to Jazz Fest rain or shine in New Orleans. Kelly Schulz, Senior Vice President of Communications and Public Relations for New Orleans & Company, says the festival was a tremendous success this year.
“For both weekends, the occupancy was very strong,” Shulz emphasized. “94% hotel occupancy in the city on the last Saturday night. And every night exceeded the occupancy numbers for 2025,” she went on to note.Saturday also featured the first sellout crowd for Jazz Fest. Many area businesses saw a boost in sales and traffic from this year over last year and economic leaders in the area are looking to keep that upward trend going. Schulz expects the positive tourism momentum from Jazz Fest to continue as New Orleans & Company’s convention sales team is already booking events well into the future (with some events booked out as far as 2040).
