The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival is back for the first time since 2019, and day one features a strong lineup anchored by Lionel Richie, Ceelo Green, and Death Cab For Cutie.
Gates at the Fairgrounds open at 11 AM with music beginning at various stages by 11:15.
The Lilli Lewis Project, Eric Lindell, Little Freddie King, PJ Morton, Astral Project, Royal Teeth, Boyfriend, PJ Morton, Sweet Crude, and more will be playing throughout the day.
Jazz Fest producer Quint Davis celebrated the reopening of New Orleans’ biggest music festival with the City Council last week.
“Oh… it’s been a long three years, but we’re back,” said Davis. “We were down but never out, it was never a question that we were going to bring back the Jazz Fest.”
The festival runs through this weekend and picks up again next Thursday before ending Sunday, May 8th.
