For starters, a celebration of travel and tourism -- it's National Travel and Tourism Week.
"Today we're going to be giving out lunches to our taxi drivers and RTA drivers and Uber drivers at the airport and convention center to say thank you to them," said Kelly Schulz, Senior Vice President of Communications with New Orleans & Company.
Schulz says those people will be busy in the coming weeks, with more festivals, like Bayou Boogaloo and Greek Fest coming up. There is also the New Orleans Food & Wine Experience, the Creole Tomato Festival, and New Orleans Restaurant Week.
"Lots of different reasons to celebrate, whether it's food or music, we've got something for just about everybody," said Schulz. "When it comes families, we have a huge opportunity on June 8th when the Audubon Aquarium and Insectarium reopens."
And the end of June and beginning of July is the Essence Festival.
