A Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office sergeant has resigned after being arrested on charges of drunk driving -- in a marked patrol vehicle.
NOLA.com reports Kenner Police arrested Ronald Bodenheimer early Monday morning at a convenience store in the 4000 block of Williams Boulevard.
The 19-year veteran of JPSO resigned shortly after his arrest, according to the sheriff's office.
Police say Bodenheimer was off-duty at the time of the alleged incident but was driving a marked Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office vehicle.
Bodenheimer refused to take a field sobriety test, officers said, but later agreed to a blow into a breathalzyer.
