A Jefferson Parish motorcycle deputy is in the hospital after authorities say another driver hit him.
According to JPSO Captain Jason Rivarde, the crash happened around 6:30 p.m. Monday on Causeway Boulevard at West Esplanade Avenue.
Rivarde says the deputy suffered a severe leg injury and is undergoing surgery. Rivarde said information about the particulars of the crash and any charges against the other driver are pending.
