Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office officials say one of their deputies shot at man who allegedly pulled a gun on him during a Wednesday afternoon traffic stop in Metairie.
It happened around 1:45 p.m. during a traffic stop on the Earhart Express near Clearview Parkway.
According to investigators, the driver of the car resisted while being patted down and pulled a gun on the deputy. That's when, investigators say, the deputy then fired his gun. The deputy's shot did not hit the driver.
Deputies arrested the driver, whom officials say is a convicted felon, without further incident.
