Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred in Harvey.
At around 9:45 pm, deputies were dispatched to a report of an unresponsive male down on Gretna Boulevard between Redwood Drive and Manhattan Boulevard.
Deputies located a male victim suffering from multiple injuries. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
The initial investigation indicates the victim was riding a bicycle on Gretna Boulevard when he was struck from behind by an unknown vehicle.
The vehicle then fled the location.
There is no description of the suspect vehicle at this time.
