Homicide detectives with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office are investigating a fatal shooting in the 1400 block of Pailet Avenue.
Police say shortly after 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers were sent to investigate a call of a shooting in that location.
"Upon their arrival, they located an adult male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds outside of a residence," said Capt. Jason Rivarde, spokesman for the JPSO. "The victim was pronounced dead on the scene."
The Times-Picayune | New Orleans Advocate reports the victim was found in the back yard.
