New Orleans Police homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in the 2600 block of Elder Street.
Police say shortly after midnight Saturday, officers were sent to investigate a call of a shooting in that location.
"Upon arrival, officers located a juvenile male with a gunshot wound," said police in a statement. "The victim was transported via EMS to a local hospital, where he was later declared deceased.The victim was transported via EMS to a local hospital, where he was later declared deceased."
