An altercation outside a bowling alley in Houma ends with shots fired and a juvenile injured with a gunshot wound.

Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet says the shooting happened shortly after 11:00 pm on Saturday in the parking lot at the Creole Lanes bowling alley.

Investigators say the shooting was the result of an altercation.

“The disturbance led to shots being fired in the parking lot, where a male juvenile was struck by gunfire, along with several vehicles, that were unoccupied.  The victim was transported to an out-of-area hospital, where was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.  No additional injuries were documented during the course of the investigation,” says the sheriff in a statement.

Investigators say they have a person of interest in the incident but have not released any information on the possible suspect.
The investigation is ongoing.
