A young boy is in the hospital after a shooting in Kenner.
It happened around 4:00 Saturday afternoon on Florida Avenue near Joe Yenni Boulevard.
According to Kenner Police Deputy Chief Mark McCormick, responding officers found the boy suffering from two gunshot wounds. McCormick says officers later arrested a juvenile suspect. That suspect, McCormick says, confessed to the crime.
The victim is stable in an area hospital.
The shooting remains under investigation.
