A Thibodaux man is facing first-degree rape charges after authorities say he sexually assaulted a teenaged girl for several years.
According to Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre, deputies initially arrested Keith Schexnayder for possession of meth and drug paraphernalia. While investigating that case, deputies received a tip about the alleged sexual assault. Webre says Schexnayder, 54, raped the victim starting when she was younger than 10-years-old.
Webre remains in jail on $511,500 bond.
