A driver died after crashing into a Louisiana weigh station on I-55 Monday night, Louisiana State Police say.
Troopers say 37-year-old Kylen Wilkens of LaPlace was driving south on I-55 around 8:40 p.m. and was just north of LA 1050 when for reason still under investigation, he ran off the road and into a closed DoTD scale house.
Wilkens was not wearing a seat belt.
Routine toxicology samples were taken from Wilkens' body for analysis. The case remains under investigation.
