Early voting in Louisiana for the November 3 congressional mid-term and other elections ends tonight.
Turnout has been high, for a mid-term, says veteran Louisiana pollster John Couvillon.
Couvillon says the energized response from Democratic voters means at least the open congressional districts will probably be doing this again in December.
And despite the state's slow shift to more Republican voters, Couvillon expects Democrats to show up.
"I'm not convinced there's going to be two Republican runoffs in the fifth and the sixth, because the Democrats are energized," Couvillon said. "I would expect a Democrat in the December runoffs in the fifth and sixth district congressional races."
Early voting is from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
