New Orleans Police are investigating the homicide of a 70-year-old man.
The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of family members.
The offense occurred last night shortly after 11:30 P.M., on Curran Blvd near the intersection with Shelly Street in New Orleans East.
According to investigators, Seventh District officers received a call of a man shot and upon their arrival, officers found the victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to his body.
Emergency Medical Technicians were summoned to the scene where they pronounced the victim dead.
