Plenty of New Orleanians, especially those who live or work in the French Quarter, are fed up dealing with seemingly endless construction zones in the area. Those issues can make the commute extremely slow going for those in a time crunch, but there is a glimmer of hope on the horizon for Crescent City residents and workers who have become frequently frustrated by what can seem like a lack of progress.




Decatur Street, which acts as a main thoroughfare for the area, is now open in large sections after a lengthy closure, which should help to alleviate a good bit of the morning and afternoon congestion. However, while King does note that plenty of business owners are fed up and ready for some normalcy, he does hear from others who say foot traffic has never been better.
